FalconFive's Battle Reports

The third and final game was against nick. He is a brand new player and only brought one list to the tounament. I beleive this was his first tournament. This was going to be the final round and I was list locked into kaya 3. The pictures on this game are going to be extremely minimal. I was tired and not going to place in the top 3 so my heart wasn't exactly in it. I was excited to try kaya 3 tho and am definently looking forward to putting her on the table again. Scenario was Entrenched I won the roll and decided to go first. He picked sides and chose the side he was already on, us half his models were already on the table. I deployed somewhat centrally with kaya to the right so I could begin dominating my own zone asap. Placement was difficult for this list. I don't have alot of experience with guns playing circle and cryx before this. I tried to spread out but I could tell already kaya control range was going to be a problem. Might consider adding the wilder just for her

Game 2 for the steam roller was none other than Justin with his cygnar. I always seem to play him in round 1 or 2 of all our local steamrollers. Justin this time was playing Hayley 2/Caine 2. He had made a few changes to his Hayley list but nothing that really affected my list. Pictures will be getting a little sparse as I focus on the game and forget to take them. Game 5 - Baldur 2 vs Haley 2 (rematch lol) I decided to drop baldur 2 because I didn't think I could out shoot cygnar with kaya 3 and he dropped Haley 2. I won the roll and spent alot of time trying to decide to go first or pick sides. I ended up deciding that the advantage of going first out ways my choice of sides due to the fact that I couldn't figure out which was better. Scenario is Take and Hold. I deploy right behind my flag with the wrath placed to move up the center of the table. My goal here was to try and take my flag and camp it forcing Justin to come into me instead of running into his guns. Justi

I went to a steamroller tournament at Crazy Squirrel game store on sat. 10 people signed up to play which is awesome for us. Lately it's been like 6-8 people. Some new players joined us as well. Always great to have more people. We played 3 rounds. For my list pair I took the same baldur 2 list I've been running and a kaya 3 list I threw together the night before. I speed painted kaya 3 to get her somewhat painted because I was trying to "play it painted" for the tournament. She has alot of detail and highlighting to do but good enough for the tournament. Thanks to Albert for hosting his last event as a PG. Also props to him, the software link was removed and he had to do all the scoring by hand.  Steamroller game 1 - Baldur 2 vs Wurmwood My first game was against Adam, who had decided by a coin flip to play circle today. The circle mirror. What a mess...all I have to say about that. Same table just switched sides. We rolled the pit for scenario. The more I play this scenario the more I dislike it. It always plays out the same.. who can camp their own flag while contesting the opponents.  So I wanted to try my other list I was considering as a pair for the upcoming steamroller. Trying to "branch out" and not play wurmwood all the time I go back to an old favorite, krueger 2. Adam drops his wurmwood list.  I've never played into the tree before and let me tell you it sucks being on this side. I kinda feel sorry for all the people that I've dropped him into.. only kinda tho. His ability to control the battle is pretty amazing. Preface: there are alot of moving parts between these two lists and alot of them have the same name, mistakes will be made in this report. Is it harkevich or strakhov?? Who knows ?? All game I couldn't get his name right. Going into it I was even expecting Strakhov's feat and later he went to shoot a model and I asked if he was trying to trigger overrun... This game was against Adam, new to the game but plays more than anyone I know. He is rapidly increasing in skill level. He recently picked up circle but for this game he was letting me test my pair into Khador. He was going to drop his Sorcha 1 list but realized he forgot a bunch of the models and didn't want to proxy so we got to test armor on armor. The lists: hint, mine is the same... Learning how to use this app.. I accidentally deleted the original post.. so going to do a quick run thru on this one. Great way to start this off.. This first game is against Justin, who is one of the better players at my LGS. He consistently wins tourneys and is often in first place. I enjoy playing him because I always learn something about the game. Hello there, my name is Tim, aka FalconFive on some online communities. This is my first blog so any feedback is always welcome. I guess the place to start is with a little information about myself. I've been playing warmachine/hordes for a few years now. My first faction was cryx, whom I picked up after my brother-in-law and I decided we were sick of playing 40k. He picked up Khador. We both purchased the battle boxes and after reading the rules started learning the game. He and I played this way for quite some time buying units to counter each other's new favorite unit. Our own mini rapidly evolving meta. We soon tired of this and started exploring out our LGS. Right about this time we were both looking to play hordes and I was interested in both Legion and Circle.
