Well finals of our month long event are here. After working back to back 13 hour days I was a bit exhausted and made a few mistakes that were quite frustrating to me, but all in all it was a really great game and required alot of focus. Forgot to take pictures consistently.. oops.. My opponent for the finals was playing protectorate of menoth. His pair was Amon in crusaders might and Feora 3 in Guardians of the Temple. He brought these two casters because he rarely plays them and wanted to force himself to try other things. I had my pair of Una 2 and Krueger 1. My plan was to drop Krueger 1 because I was worried that if he dropped feora, tuna would have a rough time. Birds don't care for fire.. When I got there I thought I had left my druids at home (turns out they were there all along). I had to drop Una 2. He ended up dropping Feora 3 and realized he forgot Feora at home. So I recently acquired some grymkin and wanted to take them for a spin. The Wanderer has my attention. I love his personal aesthetics and his cross roads ability is unique and intriguing. I've seen a few lists posted around with him running bump in the night, but I feel he has some potential with dark menagerie. Abusing starcrossed on defense 13/14 beasts seems good. Coming from circle I can attest to this first hand. Here is what I came up with. *note - not sure what happened to the original post. I am going to do a rewrite but more of a summary then full details.* Round 3 of our month long steamroller event. I am paired up against another troll player. His pair was doomy 3 in power if dhunia and grissel 2 in band of heroes.  I decided to drop una 2 and utilize the gallows grove and nightwitches to deal with tough and doomy 3's feat of he sent that way. He did indeed drop doomy 3.  The scenario was breakdown.  He won the roll but opted for sides. I was happy about this decision because I like to go first with this list and terrain doesn't slow me down. I deployed centrally and was going to have trackers oposite the death wolves to score the zones but he deployed his mountain king on the side they were going to go. So instead the trackers counter deploy and put prey on the mauler.  Doomy deploys basically in the center with the king off to one side.  His list was: Doomy 3 - Power of Dhunia -Mountain King...

Round two of the month long steamroller. This round i was paired against the other circle player in the event. He was running Kaya 3 in Call of the Wild and Wurmwood in The Wild Hunt theme. The scenario for this week was the Pit 2. I decided to drop Una 2 because Krueger with all the guns was not going to be effective into either list. Wurmwood obviously is great into guns and his Kaya list was sporting too much stealth which I had no way to ignore outside of a few sprays. He decided to drop Kaya 3 because he figured I was going Una 2 which would largely ignore his feat. We had a third party set up terrain on our table. He knew we both basically ignore forests so he decided to fill the table with obstructions and clouds. Sure made for an interesting game. Kaya won the the roll (+1 to go first and stuff).
